Welcome to the Orkney 2025 International Island Games – a celebration of athletic prowess, island spirit, and Orcadian hospitality! From July 12-18, 2025, Orkney will proudly host the landmark 20th International Island Games.
Orkney will welcome athletes from 24 island communities worldwide, competing in 12 sports including Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Bowls, Cycling, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Sailing, Squash, Swimming, and Triathlon. The Orkney 2025 Games represent the largest event ever hosted on our shores, with an anticipated 2,000-2,500 visitors set to experience our legendary hospitality. But this week-long spectacle is about more than just sport. It's a celebration of healthy living, cultural identity and Community spirit.
